It feels like we hear about new EVs every week. Maybe that’s because there are new EVs announced every week. Lamborghini sets a two-phase plan of hybrids for all of its vehicles by 2024 and will introduce its first EV before 2030. Expect to start seeing the new Subaru Solterra EV on the streets in 2022. Canoo is accepting reservations for its Lifestyle Vehicle. Kia unveils EV with 300 miles of range.
Ford launched its all electric truck dubbed “Lightning” yesterday. The car enthusiast in me makes the connection to the gas-powered Lightning, which was featured in the first iteration of The Fast and the Furious (my son wanted to watch this last weekend). This is on the heels of President Biden making the push in Michigan for his administration’s plan to spend $174 billion on EVs.
On another personal note, I saw the new Hummer EV on the road testing last week (see poor quality cellphone picture below). It’s exciting to see the future.
Have an amazing Thursday!
