• ITIL, Full-Stack development, or DevOps experience is a plus

1. In a significant move for EV battery production, Asahi Kasei and Honda have signed an agreement to form a joint venture in Canada, with Honda investing $299 million for a 25% stake in a lithium-ion battery separator production facility set to begin operations in 2027.

2. A major milestone has been reached with the successful first drive of Aptera Motors' production-intent solar EV, which will be used for real-world validation and testing of its proprietary battery pack, drivetrain, and other critical performance metrics, paving the way for deliveries to nearly 50,000 pre-order reservation holders.

7. Record-breaking October sales of 71,802 units, driven by high demand for Hyundai's hybrid models and strong performances across the lineup, marked an 18% increase from last year and included standout gains for models like the Elantra N, Tucson HEV, and IONIQ 5.

8. With a 92% year-over-year increase, ZEEKR delivered 25,049 vehicles in October 2024, bringing its year-to-date total to 167,922.

The Battery Workforce Challenge, a partnership among the DOE, Stellantis, and Argonne National Laboratory, provided 12 Ram ProMaster EVs to university teams to design and test advanced battery packs, fostering hands-on EV workforce education in preparation for careers in the growing EV industry.

10. The first U.S. registered apprenticeship program for EV automotive technicians was launched at CCAC’s West Hills Center in Pittsburgh, combining technical instruction and paid on-the-job training to build a skilled workforce for the rapidly growing EV sector.

11. Iontra Inc. received a $2.15 million ARPA-E grant to develop and validate its Pathfinder sensing technology, which enhances EV battery life by providing precise real-time data on battery health in collaboration with Idaho National Laboratory and Freudenberg Power Systems.

12. With 60 new Tesla Destination Chargers, Mohegan Sun now hosts Connecticut’s largest EV charging site.

13. Project Green Schools has partnered with Brockton High School to establish a Clean Automotive Technology Center of Excellence, supported by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, which will provide students with hands-on EV education and career training opportunities with a focus on electric bus technologies.
