Beepreleased ridership results from Yellowstone National Park’s first-ever AV shuttle program T.E.D.D.Y. (The Electric Driverless Demonstration in Yellowstone.) 10,000 passengers utilized T.E.D.D.Y. shuttles during the project and the electric shuttles transported the equivalent of 4,000 vehicle trips while traveling more than 2,100 miles. The project took place between June 9 and August 31. The project collected data related to ridership, route optimization, vehicle operations, and overall ride experience.

As AVs become more popular, it's imperative to explore how AVs should operate around cyclists. Argo AI has teamed up with League of American Cyclists (LAB) to form guidelines for how AV vehicles should identify and interact with bikes. With these guidelines, ARGO AI hopes to set standards for other AV companies. Argo and LAB formulated 6 technical guidelines for self-driving systems:
Cyclists should be their own distinct class
Predict cyclist behavior and react accordingly
Map cycling infrastructure and local laws.
The system should be consistent and act in a safe manner around cyclists.
Be prepared for uncertain situations and slow down.
Continuously test cycling scenarios.
Let’s set the scene: It’s 11 p.m. You’ve just finished binging Season 3 of ‘You,’ and you’re in the mood for a Slurpee from 7-Eleven. But the amount of energy it takes to drive over there… ugh. But good news! Nuro is partnering with 7-Eleven for autonomous deliveries through its 7NOW delivery app. The delivery program will begin in California with Toyota Prius vehicles and eventually its custom designed R2 autonomous vehicles.

CHARGE!
Brush up on your knowledge about Charging.
Charging Levels
Level 1 chargers are a regular 3-prong outlet like your standard outlet at home. With these, you’ll get 2-4 miles of range per hour of charging
Level 2 charging stations use about 208 or 240 volts of electricity. These charge your vehicle up to 10x faster than a level 1 station. With a level 2, you can get up to 200 miles of range from an 8 hour, overnight charge.
Level 3 DC Fast-Charging can charge an EV battery to 80% from almost empty in about 20 minutes. Level 3 is a generic term and can mean around 25kW of power all the way up to 300kW. There are apps that can differentiate between the different kinds and it also depends on the vehicle as well.
Charging Plugs
CHAdeMO chargers can fast charge a battery to 80% in about 1 hour, and was one of the first-type of DC fast-charging systems on the market. The Nissan LEAF and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV are the most common vehicles that use this charger.
Most EVs use the J1772 plug which charges EVs using about 120, 208, or 240 volts of energy.
For fast charging, most EV users lean towards the SAE Standard Combined Charging System. (CCS)
Tesla has its own proprietary plug, but they also have adaptors for charging that use CCS or CHAdeMO plugs.
