At its Autonomy & AI Day, Rivian unveiled a vertically integrated autonomy and AI roadmap, featuring Rivian’s custom in-house silicon, a next-generation autonomy platform with deep AI integration, and new hardware and software aimed at advancing hands-free driving and progressing toward Level 4 autonomous EVs.

11. At the 2025 SAS Hackathon, a team in the IoT cross-industry category used SAS Viya and AI tools to optimize placement of new EV chargers, demonstrating data-driven solutions to support EV infrastructure expansion.

12. At Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, vehicle management equipment supplied by NEC is supporting Level 4 autonomous towing tractors operated by ANA and Japan Airlines, using synchronized signals and camera systems to safely manage mixed traffic and improve efficiency in restricted airport areas.
